CPL 2024: Injury-hit St Kitts and Nevis Patriots sign New Zealand allrounder Josh Clarkson
Late addition to St Kitts and Nevis Patriots squad
The St Kitts and Nevis Patriots have signed New Zealand all-rounder Josh Clarkson as an injury replacement for the 2024 Caribbean Premier League (CPL).
Clarkson, 24, is a right-handed batsman and right-arm medium-fast bowler who has played for the New Zealand A team and the Canterbury Kings in New Zealand's domestic competitions.
Filling a gap in the Patriots squad
The Patriots have been hit by injuries to several key players, including Fabian Allen, Sherfane Rutherford and Dominic Drakes.
Clarkson's signing will help to fill the gap in the Patriots' squad and will give them some much-needed depth in both batting and bowling.
Big opportunity for Clarkson
The CPL is one of the most competitive T20 leagues in the world and it will be a big opportunity for Clarkson to showcase his skills on a global stage.
Clarkson will be looking to make a big impact for the Patriots and help them to challenge for the CPL title.
CPL 2024 kicks off on 30th August
The CPL 2024 season will get underway on August 30th and will run until October 1st.
The Patriots will be looking to improve on their performance in last year's tournament, where they finished fifth in the six-team standings.
