Pakistan wins the Men's Asian Champions Trophy in Dhaka

Pakistan defeated China to win the Men's Asian Champions Trophy in Dhaka on Sunday.

Pakistan completed their campaign in Dhaka with four wins and a draw. They defeated China 5-1 in the final, with Afraz scoring twice, while Mohsin, Gohar and Umar Bhutta were also on target.

Earlier, Pakistan had also beaten India 3-1 in the semi-finals, with Afraz scoring a brace. They had also defeated Japan and Bangladesh in the pool stages, and drew with South Korea.

The victory is a major boost for Pakistan, who are preparing for the World Cup in India later this year. It also marks a return to form for the team, after they failed to win a medal at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham last year.

Pakistan's victory was built on a solid defense, which was marshaled by captain Rizwan Senior. The team also showed great resilience, coming from behind to defeat both India and China in the knockout stages.

The Men's Asian Champions Trophy is one of the most prestigious field hockey tournaments in the world. It is held every two years, and features the top teams from Asia.
