Calgary man faces 10 charges after police seize drugs and firearms

Calgary police have charged a man with 10 offences after seizing drugs, firearms, and cash. The charges include possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and possession of property obtained by crime. The man was arrested on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, after police executed a search warrant at a residence in the city's northeast.

Police seized the following items during the search:

• Over $10,000 in cash
• A quantity of cocaine
• A quantity of methamphetamine
• A quantity of fentanyl
• A loaded handgun
• A loaded shotgun

The man has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, May 18, 2023.
